TIDAL HALO: A Monumental Public Art and Light Sculpture for Urban Plazas

TIDAL HALO is an original AlisnArt landmark concept built around one continuous rising gesture. Layered golden ribs form a monumental loop, a turquoise translucent band moves through it like a current, and two wing-like lower sweeps connect the sculpture to a circular plaza. The concept is intended for urban plazas, waterfronts, cultural-tourism destinations, resorts and mixed-use districts that need a recognizable day-and-night public-space anchor.

A Single Monumental Gesture at City Scale

The circular loop is designed to read as one clear silhouette before a visitor reaches it. Repeated ribs, the open center and the crossing lower sweeps then create deeper close-range views. The artwork can be studied as part of a wider Public Art & Landmarks program rather than as an isolated decorative object.

Daytime Landmark Value and Site Relationship

TIDAL HALO is not intended to depend on night lighting alone. In daylight, the golden ribs produce depth through highlight and shadow, while the turquoise inner current adds a translucent second layer. From above, the concept shows how the loop, circular plaza, optional water feature and visitor circulation could relate.

The illustrated plaza is not a real site. Accessible routes, public edges, viewing zones, crowd management and local landscape requirements must be developed for the buyer’s location.

Optional Water, Mist and Public-Space Experience

The reflecting pool, mist and fountain shown in the visualizations are optional site-integration systems, not fixed parts of the sculpture. If selected, the buyer and local design team need separate coordination for basin construction, drainage, waterproofing, filtration, pumps, nozzles, wind drift, slip resistance, winter operation and maintenance access.

Final fixtures, cable routes, waterproof connectors, drainage, grounding, brightness, color temperature, light spill, operating hours and maintenance access require site-specific electrical development. Programmed scenes are optional; the base concept does not require animation.

Materials and Structural Direction

The confirmed images establish a design language, not approved construction specifications. A possible route includes a site-specific structural-steel primary system, formed metal secondary ribs, climate-appropriate corrosion protection, an outdoor metallic-gold finish, replaceable turquoise translucent panels, serviceable lighting channels and a concealed anchor interface.

PVD stainless steel may be considered for selected visible elements where scale, budget, fabrication method and outdoor maintenance allow, but it is not assumed as the default finish for the complete sculpture.
