Dual Arc Aurora Gate, known in Chinese as 双弧极光·引潮之门, is a monumental interactive light installation concept for city plazas, cultural tourism destinations, commercial districts, waterfronts, resorts and light festivals.
Two asymmetric metallic arcs rise from opposite sides of the public space and frame a three-dimensional RGBW light net. The curved structure forms a powerful daytime landmark, while the suspended field of light transforms the plaza after dark. Visitors are not kept outside the artwork. They walk into the center, move beneath the canopy and become part of the visual event.

The design combines four connected systems:
- Two large asymmetric architectural arcs with a strong, open silhouette.
- Segmented perforated metallic cladding with integrated warm edge lighting.
- A tensioned three-dimensional light net using addressable RGBW light points or light strands.
- A multi-user sensing and show-control system that can translate public movement into visible waves of light.
The main structure remains visually clear from a distance. One arc creates a broad protective sweep, while the second arc turns inward to complete the composition without closing the public route. Between them, the light net narrows and twists toward a central energy point, creating the impression of an aurora being drawn into the plaza.

The color, speed and brightness increase as participation grows. The public can immediately understand that their presence is changing the artwork.
4. Shared climax
When a defined participation threshold is reached, the full canopy produces a short synchronized burst of blue, cyan, violet and white light before returning gradually to a calm breathing state.
This sequence turns visitors into co-creators without requiring them to operate complicated devices. It also gives operators a repeatable show cycle that can be adapted for festivals, countdowns, seasonal programs, branded events or local cultural storytelling.

Daytime and Nighttime Experience
During the day, the two curved structures remain the primary artwork. Perforated metallic panels soften the architectural scale and create changing patterns of sunlight and shadow. At dusk, warm linear lighting reveals the edges and inner curvature of the structure. The RGBW net then changes from a transparent cable field into an immersive volume of light.
