TIDAL HALO: A Monumental Public Art and Light Sculpture for Urban Plazas
TIDAL HALO is an original AlisnArt landmark concept built around one continuous rising gesture. Layered golden ribs form a monumental loop, a turquoise translucent band moves through it like a current, and two wing-like lower sweeps connect the sculpture to a circular plaza. The concept is intended for urban plazas, waterfronts, cultural-tourism destinations, resorts and mixed-use districts that need a recognizable day-and-night public-space anchor.

Original Concept VisualizationProject-status and evidence boundary: Every image on this page is an original concept, scale-model or proposed-process visualization. No client, real project location, completed installation, price, review, rating, award or as-built result is claimed. The factory, lifting and packing scenes are planning visuals, not documentary photographs.
A Single Monumental Gesture at City Scale
The circular loop is designed to read as one clear silhouette before a visitor reaches it. Repeated ribs, the open center and the crossing lower sweeps then create deeper close-range views. The artwork can be studied as part of a wider Public Art & Landmarks program rather than as an isolated decorative object.
Original Concept Sketch
Scale-Model VisualizationThe sketch and white-model visualization record form development and visitor scale only. Final height, member sizes, public clearances, foundation loads and connection details remain open engineering decisions.
Daytime Landmark Value and Site Relationship
TIDAL HALO is not intended to depend on night lighting alone. In daylight, the golden ribs produce depth through highlight and shadow, while the turquoise inner current adds a translucent second layer. From above, the concept shows how the loop, circular plaza, optional water feature and visitor circulation could relate.
Original Concept Visualization
Illustrative Aerial ContextThe illustrated plaza is not a real site. Accessible routes, public edges, viewing zones, crowd management and local landscape requirements must be developed for the buyer’s location.
Optional Water, Mist and Public-Space Experience
The reflecting pool, mist and fountain shown in the visualizations are optional site-integration systems, not fixed parts of the sculpture. If selected, the buyer and local design team need separate coordination for basin construction, drainage, waterproofing, filtration, pumps, nozzles, wind drift, slip resistance, winter operation and maintenance access.
The central opening can frame sky, architecture, a waterfront view or an event axis. The confirmed concept is primarily spatial, optical and atmospheric: no sensors, motors or crowd-triggered interaction are claimed.
A Controlled Landmark Light Sculpture at Night
At blue hour and at night, warm-gold illumination on the outer ribs contrasts with the cooler turquoise inner band. A project-specific design may use serviceable linear luminaires, concealed point sources and separately controlled turquoise lighting. See AlisnArt’s Landmark Light Sculptures capability for the wider application context.
Night Lighting VisualizationFinal fixtures, cable routes, waterproof connectors, drainage, grounding, brightness, color temperature, light spill, operating hours and maintenance access require site-specific electrical development. Programmed scenes are optional; the base concept does not require animation.
Materials and Structural Direction
The confirmed images establish a design language, not approved construction specifications. A possible route includes a site-specific structural-steel primary system, formed metal secondary ribs, climate-appropriate corrosion protection, an outdoor metallic-gold finish, replaceable turquoise translucent panels, serviceable lighting channels and a concealed anchor interface.
PVD stainless steel may be considered for selected visible elements where scale, budget, fabrication method and outdoor maintenance allow, but it is not assumed as the default finish for the complete sculpture. Final sections, fasteners, weld categories, coatings, panel material and thickness, expansion, drainage, lightning protection, grounding and foundations require engineering and local-code review.
Modular Fabrication Without Losing the Continuous Form
The loop can be divided into transportable structural modules while preserving the visual rhythm of the ribs. Before production, shop drawings should define connection zones, rib templates, panel segmentation, lighting channels, geometry checks, part numbering, inspection records, coating repair and lifting interfaces. The detailed workflow belongs in the agreed custom fabrication process.
Fabrication VisualizationFabrication Visualization / Production-Planning Study: this is not documentary factory photography and does not prove that TIDAL HALO has already been manufactured.
Export Packing and Delivery Planning
Module division needs to be coordinated with shipping limits before detailed fabrication. Curved ribs, translucent panels, connection faces, finished surfaces and electrical interfaces require different protection and labeling. A project package can include transport frames, packing lists, hardware kits, lifting-point information and container-position records under the agreed scope. Review the wider export packing and shipping process.
Export Packing VisualizationExport Packing Visualization: this proposed process image is not a shipment record. Final crates, module sizes, protection and container loading must follow the approved design and route.
Lifting, Local Responsibilities and Site Assembly
Site work may include base and anchor checks, temporary support, segmented lifting, primary connections, geometry adjustment, rib completion, panel installation, lighting connection, optional water coordination and commissioning. AlisnArt can define agreed installation guidance, while the buyer’s local team normally remains responsible for local permits, approved foundations, crane and lifting plans, site access, temporary works, exclusion zones and statutory sign-off. See overseas installation support for the responsibility boundary.
Installation VisualizationInstallation Visualization / Lifting Study: this is not documentary site photography. Crane capacity, rigging, temporary bracing, sequence and local contractor responsibilities must be confirmed in an approved method statement.

Buyer FAQ: TIDAL HALO
Can AlisnArt adapt TIDAL HALO to our site?
Can AlisnArt adapt TIDAL HALO to our site?
Yes. The concept can be developed around the site footprint, viewing axis, target scale, climate, cultural story, lighting needs, water strategy, budget and delivery conditions while protecting the confirmed design language.
Can AlisnArt manufacture from our architect’s or artist’s design instead?
Can AlisnArt manufacture from our architect’s or artist’s design instead?
Yes, subject to confirmed design rights and approval authority. AlisnArt can review approved renderings, drawings and specifications for materials, structure, lighting, module division, packing and installation support.
Can the gold tone or turquoise panel color be changed?
Can the gold tone or turquoise panel color be changed?
Yes. Color and transparency can be adjusted for a site or brand direction, but changes should be controlled so the contrast between the outer ribs and inner current remains clear.
Is the sculpture interactive?
Is the sculpture interactive?
The confirmed concept is primarily spatial, optical and atmospheric. No sensors, motors or crowd-triggered system are claimed. Optional programmed lighting or site-specific interaction can be studied separately.
Can it be installed outdoors near the sea?
Can it be installed outdoors near the sea?
Potentially, but the material, coating, fasteners, drainage, electrical protection and maintenance plan must be reviewed for salt exposure, wind, humidity and the target service environment.
